I strive to ensure our focus remains entirely on your therapeutic journey through a smooth and transparent administrative process. To support this, I handle all fee settlements directly through individual payment methods. This approach avoids the need for external third-party structures or complex paperwork, facilitating a dedicated professional space from our very first consultation.
For your convenience, I accept payments exclusively via bank transfer at the time of your scheduled session. For individuals experiencing specific financial challenges, I offer a limited number of reduced-rate slots. These spaces are available to make high-quality, professional mental health support accessible and welcoming for clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
Your Questions Answered
Is therapy strictly confidential?
Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship. Everything discussed remains private, held within the professional ethical framework of the BACP. There are very few legal exceptions to this, primarily concerning serious harm to yourself or others, which we will discuss fully in our initial meeting.
How long does each session last?
A standard therapeutic session lasts for 50 minutes. This provides a focused time for our work while allowing you a short interval to reflect and transition back into your day before your next appointment or activity.
How many sessions will I need?
There is no fixed schedule for therapy, as the number of sessions is entirely guided by your unique needs, personal goals, and comfortable pace. We will review our work together regularly to see how you feel, and you are always free to discuss how long you would like to continue.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes, I offer both face-to-face sessions at my practice in Earls Colne and remote sessions via secure video platforms or telephone. This flexibility ensures that you can access support in a way that best suits your schedule and comfort level.
What professional standards do you follow?
I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I adhere strictly to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions, which includes commitment to regular supervision and ongoing professional development.

Understanding what to expect can help ease the transition into therapy. I provide a structured yet flexible journey tailored to your individual needs, ensuring a safe and manageable pace for healing and growth.
Initial Consultation
Our first meeting is a gentle opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy. We'll explore your goals and ensure we both feel comfortable moving forward together.
Ongoing Sessions
Sessions last 50 minutes and can be weekly, fortnightly, or ad hoc. Weekly sessions help build a regular rhythm that supports deeper, lasting change, but we will always find the pace that feels most supportive for you.
The Therapeutic Journey
We will review our work regularly to ensure it still serves you. Whether your journey is short-term or open-ended, we work toward an ending that feels planned and grounded.
