About Michele | Counsellor Supporting Children and Adults in Colchester & Braintree

I believe that emotional resilience is the foundation of a fulfilling life. My practice is built on the principles of compassion, safety, and evidence-based counselling and support. I recognize that every individual’s journey is unique. Whether working with a child through play or assisting an adult through a significant life transition, my goal is to provide a calm, non-judgmental space where growth happens naturally. I am dedicated to helping my clients navigate life's complexities with new clarity and strength.

Meet Michele

As a BACP-registered counsellor with over seven years of experience supporting children, young people, parents, and adults, I offer a warm, thoughtful, and grounded approach to counselling. My work is guided by the understanding that our early experiences and relationships shape how we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate life's challenges.

A significant part of my experience has been working with children and families, helping parents better understand their child's emotional needs and strengthen the parent-child relationship. This work has given me valuable insight into attachment, child development, emotional wellbeing, and family dynamics, as well as the lasting impact these experiences can have throughout adulthood.

Alongside supporting children and adolescents, I work with adults experiencing a range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, life transitions, loss, fertility challenges, and the emotional complexities of a rainbow baby journey. My experience across the lifespan enables me to support adults in exploring how past experiences and relationship patterns may be influencing their present wellbeing, while helping them develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.

I work from a trauma-informed perspective, recognising the importance of safety, trust, and collaboration within the therapeutic relationship. I believe that every individual possesses the capacity for growth and healing when provided with the right support, understanding, and environment.

Based at Castle Counselling Service in Earls Colne, I offer counselling for children, adolescents, adults, and parents through both in-person and online appointments, tailoring support to meet each client's unique needs and circumstances.
